Xana in Boston

Boston’s Paradise Rock Club was electric on Thursday night as Xana, Canadian indie alternative artist, brought her signature blend of vulnerability, empowerment, and pop-rock energy to a packed house. Touring her Until It Wasn’t album, Xana proved once again why she is one of the most compelling voices in queer pop today.

The show started with “Save the Bullets, Baby!” and fans were already singing along to every single song. Midway through the set, Xana invited fans to choose the next songs—a new tradition on this tour that has quickly become a fan favorite. The choices were “Love Like This” and “My Therapist Told Me,” two emotionally charged tracks that had the room swaying and belting in unison. These are unapologetic and relatable tracks that pull listeners into Xana’s world of authenticity. But it was “Sick Joke” that truly stole the night. As soon as the opening chords hit, fans belted every lyric with raw intensity, especially the bridge, turning the venue into a cathartic chorus.

Having seen Xana a year ago at Brighton Music Hall, it is remarkable to witness her growth. The crowds are multiplying, but her warmth and gratitude remain unchanged. She still takes time to connect—whether through fan-picked setlist moments or handing out signed Polaroids at the merch table. It is these intimate touches that make her shows feel personal, no matter the size of the venue.

Xana’s live vocals were nothing short of excellent. Whether soaring through high-energy anthems like “Girls Girls” or delivering tender verses of “Yellow,” she maintained control and emotion throughout. Supported by Siena Liggins, whose vibrant set opened the night, the show was a celebration of queer artistry and community.

Xana is unstoppable. With her tour continuing across North America and heading to the UK next year, now is the time to catch her live. If you are lucky, you might even help shape the setlist. To catch her on tour, click here
