Nessa Barrett in Manchester

At just 22, Nessa Barrett has already made a name for herself in the world of dark pop. Originally from New Jersey, she first gained attention on TikTok, but it didn’t take long for her music to speak for itself. With deeply personal lyrics, emotional vocals, and a style that leans into both beauty and chaos, she’s become a voice for a generation figuring things out in real time.
The night kicked off with Sombr as the opener, who warmed up the crowd with some of his latest viral tracks like 'Undressed' and 'Back to Being Friends'. His energy set the mood perfectly for what was ahead.
When Nessa came on stage and opened with 'dirty little secret', the crowd exploded. She owned the moment right away. A few songs in, she performed 'disco', dancing freely across the stage, clearly in her element. The room was packed, completely sold out, and everyone seemed dressed with her aesthetic in mind: dark, expressive, and a little bit glam. The energy was loud and emotional from start to finish.
After a short encore, she returned to play 'die first' and 'pornstar', two of her biggest songs, and the crowd sang every word like their lives depended on it. Honestly, you could barely hear her over the crowd in the best way possible.
In all, it was a night that felt more like a shared experience than just a concert. Nessa gave everything and Manchester gave it right back.
