On a chilly April evening in Boston, Myles Smith appeared in a Red Sox jersey and proved that even under the weather, passion and presence can carry a performance to unforgettable heights. Despite battling food poisoning, Smith took the stage with unwavering commitment, telling the crowd he couldn’t bear to cancel. The crowd was lucky to experience the “We Were Never Really Strangers” Tour in person.

Songs like "Wait for You" and “Whisper” were met with cheers, tight harmonies and humor winning hearts seeing Smith fight feeling under the weather. But it was the moment just before the encore that truly defined the night.

As the set seemed to wind down, Smith paused and asked the crowd to lift their phones—but not with the torch on. “Just hold them up for a second,” he said. Then, he began asking a series of questions such as “Do you suffer from depression, anxiety or panic attacks?” With each prompt, more and more lights flickered on. The room slowly transformed into a constellation of shared experiences—silent, beautiful, and deeply moving.

He looked out and said, “This… this is why I do this. So you know you’re not alone.” It was an extraordinary moment of unity. Smith closed out the night with a stirring encore of “Stargazing,” which is a fan favorite. Boston was lucky for a second night and to catch him on tour, click here.
