Leith Ross in Pittsburgh

Every year, small towns in nowhere North America produce the most gut-wrenching, melancholic artists known to man. Leith Ross is no exception.
Their lyricism and style of music is rooted in the saccharine love that drives people to be the worst and best of themselves. Their most recent album, I Can See The Future, was a perfect album to drop in September and a fantastic segue into a fall tour. The album feels like dew on the grass, falling leaves or a straight road passing field after field. Ross nods their head at other artists, like Sierra Ferrell, in the album through sound and lyricism.
Mr Smalls, a venue well loved in a refurbished church, was a fantastic location to hear the sounds of Leith Ross. The crowd matched the energy the band brought into the space. Leith Ross has also been donating a portion of their proceeds towards organizations of their choice in each city. It is refreshing to see a midsized artist take time out of their set to uplifting and introducing organizations that help minorities and local community organizations.
