King Princess at House of Blues, Boston: A Celebration of Unapologetic Identity
King Princess, the Brooklyn-based indie pop sensation, took the stage at Boston’s House of Blues on November 3 in a show that proved her evolution as both a performer and a songwriter. The crowd, a mix of devoted fans and curious newcomers, buzzed with anticipation as the lights dimmed and the band kicked into gear. With a setlist that spanned her debut Cheap Queen album and included tracks from her new album, “Girl Violence.”
Her voice, both smoky and soulful, soared through tracks like “Pussy is God” and “Talia,” as the audience sang along to every word. King Princess showcased her musical versatility, shifting effortlessly between acoustic moments and full-on, synth-driven power anthems. The night’s high point came with the rousing performance of “PAIN,” which had the crowd jumping in unison, completely lost in the music.
Before the encore, King Princess invited a fan on stage to graffiti Boston onto the stage decor. A tradition that fans look forward to. As King Princess closed the night with “Ohio,” it was clear that her fans can always expect to be part of a wild and emotional ride.
