K-Pop seven-piece AMPERS&ONE brought their second-ever world tour, “Born To Define,” to Chicago - with a sold-out show at the Studebaker Theatre in the heart of downtown.

Over the last year, Kamden, Brian, Jiho, Siyun, Kyrell, Mackiah, and Seungmo have been taking the K-Pop world by storm. Since their first world tour “My First_,” the boys have released two comebacks, including their latest mini-album DEFINITION, and even opened for their “older-brother” group P1Harmony during the last quarter of 2025.

“Born To Define,” is a triumphant return for AMPERS&ONE, packed to the brim with songs old and new, and energetic choreographies to complement them. The show opened with their newest title track, “GOD,” from the aforementioned DEFINITION, accompanied by traditional Korean clothing and fan choreography - the song is an incredible showing of combining K-Pop with K-Culture.

In addition to their original songs, the show also featured a K-Pop concert staple, three stages that included covers of both Western and K-Pop tracks. Each cover was able to show off a different side of the members. The first of the three showcased members Kamden and Jiho with a dramatic cover of ENHYPEN’S “FEVER,” Followed by Brian and Kyrell who charmed the audience with a sweet cover of Taylor Swift’s “Love Story,” and finally Mackiah, Seungmo, and Siyun closed out the unit stages with an electric cover of One Direction’s “Drag Me Down.”

The second half of the show was filled with tracks ranging from debut to DEFINITION, with crowd favorites “He + She = We” and “Broken Heart.” AMPERS&ONE “closed” the show with “Get Famous,” before, of course, returning for an encore featuring classics “On and On” and “Crazy Stupid Fun.” Abandoning choreography, the boys stormed the audience to get even closer to ANDEARs (fandom). The K-Pop show transformed into a rave, with every fan in the audience on their feet. As a surprise to Chicago ANDEARs, the boys returned for one last song, before officially closing out “Born To Define.”

AMPERS&ONE is a testament to natural growth, versatility, and charisma in K-Pop. With each of the seven members playing a truly instrumental role in the group.

AMPERS&ONE is not one to miss for K-Pop fans of all kinds. Make sure to check out DEFINITION, and if you missed the Chicago stop of “Born To Define,” you still have chances to see AMPERS&ONE in Texas and across the West Coast, and even at a special appearance at the Mall of America.
